‘ The Modern Goddess ‘ is a Social Media Series designed for Social Central Media Solutions. The series features a set of illustrations representing what it means to be a Contemporary Goddess.

‘ The Modern Goddess ‘ is a Social Media Series designed for the festival of ‘ Navratri ‘ which is major festival in Hinduism held in the honor of the divine feminine. The nine day long festival honors nine goddesses. The series focusses on what a Goddess looks like in the contemporary world and also honors some Indian women that have been the forces of change and created history.
Day 1 : The first post honors fashion influencer - Komal Pandey, who is known for challenging norms and gender stereotypes in India.
Day 2 : The second post honors mothers who are a lot more than just homemakers ( which is another gender stereotype in India )
Day 3 : The third post honors Kangana Ranaut, who is one of the most influential Bollywood actors. She is known for being fearless and raising her voice about several issues in both the film industry as well as India in general. ‘ Queen ‘ which was one of her most popular roles is a name she is referred to as.
Day 4 : The fourth post honors Indra Nooyi , CEO of Pepsico. She has been an inspiration to young girls and women across India challenging norms and entering male- dominated industries. The hashtag ‘ Why should boys have all the fun ‘ is derived from a famous campaign in India by an automobiles company questioning why only men should be expected to ride bikes in India and not women.
